addresses texture and tone and conditions such as fine lines, wrinkles, and various scars. Expected downtime is 5-7 days as initial swelling and redness fades, and skin sloughs. Arrive 1 hour early for numbing.

The ProFractional is Sciton’s fractionated erbium laser and is the ideal treatment for scar revision, deep resurfacing, and healthy skin maintenance. ProFractional treats a portion of the skin at a time, resulting in new collagen production and a dramatic reduction in moderate to severe texture, fine lines, deep wrinkles, the appearance of scars, and pigmented lesions like sunspots, freckles, and actinic keratosis. This laser is our go-to treatment to tackle acne scarring and aged skin around the eyes.

What Is A Pro Fractional Laser?
A profractional laser is a true ablative laser, operating on the principle of thermocoagulation: microperforations are made by the laser which destroy skin tissue and spur the natural regeneration of tighter firmer tissue over weeks to months.
As the skin regenerates, wrinkles are smoothed, and old acne scars and pockmarks are filled in. The treatment’s tunable technology offers superficial to deep resurfacing for all skin types. The ProFractionals advanced technology allows for results that match and/or exceed that of a traditional CO2 Laser treatment, but with considerably less invasive downtime- about 5-7 days as initial swelling and redness fades, and skin sloughs.
How Should I Prepare For My Treatment?
Please discontinue the use of retinol products and other skincare actives 48 hours prior to the procedure. Limit sun exposure for 10-14 days prior.
What Should I Expect Post-Treatment?
Immediately after treatment, patients will experience a sunburnt sensation. This discomfort can be easily relieved with cool compresses and Tylenol. Mild pinpoint bleeding is the desired response and is very common with this procedure. This oozing may persist for 24 hours after treatment. Because ProFractional treats a fraction of the skin’s surface, healing time is very quick with little downtime. Most patients feel comfortable to return to normal activities and apply light makeup within 3-4 days, depending on the depth of the treatment. Overall downtime is typically 5-7 days
